RSPCA – which stands for The royal Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is my charity of choice I guess you could say; even though I support charities for cervical cancer, breast cancer and children’s hospitals it’s the RSPCA that I try and work with most often.
The first time I worked with the RSPCA was back in 2008 when I hosted a celebrity charity trivia night to raise funds for RSPCA, I had such a ball and got to learn about the running’s of the RSPCA, I learnt that it’s not a government agency and receives only a very small amount of funding from the Government per year the rest they have to raise themselves.
RSPCA is a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect, nearly every story behind these animals is not a nice one. The RSPCA is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with approximately 400 staff across NSW to care for animals.
RSPCA’s mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.
We can help by jumping on there website http://www.rspca.org.au/ and taking action, by donating, working on weekends, promoting awareness – every small bit helps
I am personally getting behind RSPCA CUPCAKE DAY which is on Monday 16th August http://www.rspcacupcakeday.com.au/ cupcake day is where registered RSPCA Cupcake Cooks across Australia will descend on their schools, workplaces and social groups with batches of scrumptious homemade cupcakes to be exchanged for donations to the RSPCA, It’s a great cause and already $77,300 has been raised nationally.
So please help and get behind the RSPCA and help save little lives.
