The wait is finally over.... Topshop and Topman launched last night in Sydney and the purple carpet was a buzz with around 1000 VIP's descending on the historic Gowings Building for a first hand glimpse of this major fashion house.
Inside this four floored store saw Moet flowing, extravagant dishes from celebrity chef Matt Moran and a live band. Champagne bars were set up on each floor and least we forget the enormous amount of Topshop and Topman stock that filled the walls and shelves overflowing with colour and fashion forward trends. Topshop and Topman are known for an individualistic, eclectic approach to fashion and will be a perfect fit for Australia.
Among some of the celebrites to attend last nights launch were The Veronicas, Isabelle Cornish, Ruby Rose, Vouge Williams & Brian McFadden, Geoff Huegill, Kate Waterhouse, Jesinta Campbell, Sophie Faulkiner, Didier Cohen and Pip Edwards.
Now I was lucky enough to venture into the store on Tuesday and have the ultimate personal shopping experience to find my outfit for the nights event. The personal shopping expirence is one I highly recommend, the lavish suites were filled with flowers and cupcakes and the Topshop staff extremely helpful and lovely, never pushing styles on you, but rather helping you find the pieces that fit your style best. After almost an hour of browsing the store and may I add not wanting to leave, I finally chose this twin set, high waist peplum skirt, chanel inspired heels and studded clutch.
With trends straight from the catwalk in a more afordable fashion, make Topshop your next shopping stop, although a word of advice maybe wait a week or so before popping in, with queues stretching two blocks were spotted this morning.
