Please welcome The Iconic as main sponsor for Spring Racing 2012, which kick started Saturday 29th September at Rosehill Racecourse and it's truly an honour to this year be announced the official face for The Iconic Spring Racing along with the talented and beautiful Zoe Balbi. The traditional name Fashion on the field has been replaced, The Iconic Fashion Stakes was the name on everyones lips, with over 100 entrants all competing for that grand prize of $15,000. All entrants who lined up to show us their best racing attire didn't go home empty handed, with all entrants taking home a gift bag valued at over $50. The panel of Judges included Zoe Balbi (Official Face of Spring Racing) Glynis Traill - Nash (Fashion Writer for the Sunday Telegraph) Madelin Newman (Head of the Iconic Magazine) and myself, who is lucky enough to also hold the title official face of spring racing.
It was a hard task picking only 10 finalist from the many that entered, as the outfits were all on par with the trends for spring and the racing criteria. Thankfully the crowd had the final say and ultimately decided the day's Fashion Stakes Winner via the new sms voting system and one lucky race day voter walked home with an easy $2,000 just for voting!
It was truly a great day from judging the many gorgeous ladies in the fashion stakes to betting and mingling in The Iconic Terrace and if you had read my punting tip in the Daily Telegraph you would have gone home cashed up, as Gai Waterhouse gets another win with her horse More Joyous.
