Postcards From Hong Kong

Hong Kong stole my heart! What a magical place. It's a sophisticated metropolis of more than six million people, sharing an area of about 1,100 square kilometres. If you have never visited this thriving island, then I highly recommend you add it to the bucket list. Hong Kong offers spectacular backdrops, Humming Street markets, world renowned dining experiences, world class shopping and an incredible culture hit. It's diversity of bustling city centre to peaceful countryside is something worth seeing.

Hong Kong is ever-evolving, as I said in a previous post I visited over 10 years ago and the change since then was enormous. I felt like I was visiting for the first time, the harbour felt more alive and the buildings had tripled in size and quantity, nearly ever place we visited had rooftop bars with mid height hand rails and views for days. For those wanting tips on discovering Hong kong, I highly recommend the delights of Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. Best form of transport  within Hong Kong is by train and make sure you purchase an "Octopus" card which is your electronic ticket that you top up as you go, makes for simple transport. A taxi into the city from the airport , gives a scenic look into the local islands and main exterior of Hong Kong that features a distinctive collage of skyscrapers and daring architecture.

I wish I had more time in Hong Kong, 4 days wasn't enough however it's a great excuse for another trip in the coming years. For all those wondering on where I stayed whilst visiting, Harbour Grand Hotel, North Point. I highly recommend this hotel as the rooms, service and staff were exceptional.  Above are my personal postcards from Hong Kong. Enjoy.
