The Veuve Clicquot Diary - Day Three

Waking up this morning with bated breath that the sun is going to be shining and to the mountain we go, for a day of skiing. As I open the curtains I’m greeted with sunlight streaming in but at that moment I get a txt saying that all the mountains are closed due to gail force winds! Bugger.

Alas we head to Pier 19 to start the morning in style at the Veuve Clicquot brunch. Again we are greeted with a flute of veuve while we eat brunch and listen to live tunes spun by local DJ. After brunch it’s a day of leisure, so we opted to head up in the gondola to take in the sights of Queenstown. One word can sum up the views from the top of the summit and that's breathtaking! After this scenic trip it was time for the inner child to be released in a competitive game of mini golf with the husband.( No comment on the final score ). After a day of taking in the sights we headed back to the Hilton resort to get ready for the Veuve Clicquot Degustation dinner.

The Veuve Clicquot Degustation dinner was held at Wakatipu Grill, located at The Hilton Resort ( where we were staying ). The restaurant was decoreded in Veuve Clicquot acsseories and guest mingled while sipping Veuve Clicquot and the first coarse of nibbles. Once seated, we enjoyed another 4 courses paired with Veuve Clicquot over stories of brand were told along with knowledge on the different bottles and flavours. Another incredible day and night.
