The Royal Wedding

The romance between Prince Williams and Kate Middleton was a see-saw love affair but it ended with a true life Cinderella fairy-tale.

Last Friday the royal wedding of Kate Middelton and Prince William took place, an event that has caused a stir all around the world, with journalists, news stations, facebook and twitter all in over drive to cover a new era in history.

Around 19,00 people were invited to the royal wedding, it is estimated that over two billion watched the wedding live around the globe.

The celebrity guest list included Ian Thorpe, Rowan Atkinson, Sir Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, Guy Ritchie, Joss Stone - English Soul winger and writer who performed at the concert for Diana in the years 2007 and 2008.

Catherine ( Kate ) Middleton's dress was designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. The veil is long, sheer, and modern. It showcases her hair, which she is wearing down. The veil is made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers, which was embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework.

According to the press release, Middleton wished for her dress to "combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterizes Alexander McQueen's work". Kate Middelton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress.
