The world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey took place on Wednesday 28th Nov in Wellington, NZ and I was lucky enough to be invited.

Wellington was a buzz with Middle earth madness with fans waiting hours and even overnight  to secure their spot to get that glimpse of their favourite characters, Hollywood stars and New Zealand celebrities. The atmosphere was electric with screams from the 100,000-strong crowd, which was a mix of locals and international travellers from as far away as the UK, China, Japan and the US. The normal windy capital but on a show with it's stunning weather which created the perfect backdrop for the 500 meter red carpet!

Safe to say fans left extremely satisfied with all of the cast turning up for the premiere; Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Richard Armitage, Andy Serkis, Cate Balnchett who wore Antonio Berardi, Barry Humphries, Evangeline Lilly to name a few although Ian Mckellen who plays Gandalf was unable to make it, left the crowd happy with a personal message via video.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in Australia on Boxing Day, so as you can imagine I am limited to say much, however I will say that I take my hat off to Sir Peter Jackson for making yet another incredible film! The 3D is spectacular and I loved the movie!!!
